"I had a robotic Hysterectomy done on October 25th, 2010, which was on a Monday. I was back to work on Wednesday the 27th. It was the easiest recoup time I have ever had from any invasive procedure. I stayed overnight in the hospital but could have went home that night. I was afraid that I might start hurting so I decided to stay...should have went home because I never even hurt. The only down side to having surgery like this is the gas they they use to expand your lungs or whatever it is makes your shoulders and chest hurt. If it was not for that pain, I would have felt like a million bucks. The shoulder and chest pain lasts for about 5 days but I can again honestly say that I never had one abdominal pain. I was expecting for it to feel like it did after delivery but oh no, I would do this a million times over before giving birth! I heard so many horror stories before I went in that I was actually crying my eyes out before they took me back, if I had have only known that it was going to be this easy, I would have had it done a long time ago! Technology has made a giant move forward! For anyone considering this, do not even think twice, just do it! This will not be a regret I promise. I also forgot to mention that I only took two pain pills afterwards and that was only to sleep because surgery and the hospital does throw your sleeping pattern off some. Dr. Michael Swan did my procedure and he is the greatest!!!!"
